Rand Water Jobs – REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Description:

Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be expected to manage and control the operation of the districts in the South which include, Barrage, Meyerton, Amanztimtoti, Bloemedal and Brakpan.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project management which includes planning the project, acquiring project approval and controlling the budget for the project
• Interaction with the Maintenance section in connection with pump, reservoir and pipeline maintenance
• Input into maintenance and installation of pump station, meters and pipelines of all works and projects which includes planned shutdowns, excavation inspections and accepting new installations
• Customer liaison and public relations including liaising with local authorities and consultants and providing advisory services to external customers
• Management of the Distribution system and water quality which includes formulating daily water orders and constant monitoring of reservoir levels

Job Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of SHEQ management system
• N4 coupled with a recognised Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship
• Knowledge of and experience in Project management will serve as an advantage
• 5 years’ relevant experience with 3 years in a supervisory capacity
• A supervisory qualification will serve as an advantage
• Knowledge of large diameter water reticulation systems
