Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Foreman Engineering Bentley Park, within the M&RC Engineering Workshops near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Workshop Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Stripping, assessing, planning, & supervising fabrication teams (with technical accountability, to cost and schedule), and pre-assemble within an ISO 9001 document-controlled environment.
• Setting targets for subordinates and exceeding job targets and client expectations
• Building in a respectful way and keeping work teams motivated, working safely, committed to completing tasks to high standards
• Developing subordinates, holding them accountable and managing their performance
• Maintaining a high standard of good housekeeping

Job Requirements:

• OEM training on mobile equipment – training certificates to be submitted with application
• At least 5 years as an appointed Foreman supervising Artisans and Technicians maintaining and repairing underground mobile equipment
• At least 5 years “on the tools” experience in troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing and maintaining equipment, preferably in a workshop environment
• At least 2 years of the 5 years in a senior artisan/chargehand position “on the tools” supervisory position
• At least 5 years responsible for job planning, costing and quality paperwork records
